Bellas Artes Theater building, designed by architect Rafael Cortázar and built in 1914, is going to be refurbished and transformed into a condominium for short-term stays.
Prior to the demolition of the building’s structure, Incye was commissioned to design and install a façade retention system.
Incye’s solution was a set of external towers using Granshor modular trusses with lateral bracing by means of adjustable props and Rapit-tie rods.
The towers were placed at a pre-defined distance from the façade such that a roofed pedestrian passage was created.
Additionally, the partition walls of adjoining buildings were propped using light-weight SuperSlim beams.
